About Me

I have always had a love of art and have been painting on and off since childhood. I primarily use oils and have a love for painting landscapes, with a particular love for painting skies and sunsets, as my inspiration comes from the beautiful colours that nature produces.

Many of my landscape paintings are done from photos taken on various trips both abroad and on travels closer to home, and having an Italian husband means much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful scenery in Italy. Others come from images found on the internet where I have either tried to recreate the image onto canvas in oils or taken part of an image as inspiration for a painting.

I'm a relatively self-taught artist, and I have also found that my passion for painting also holds many therapeutic benefits as I have been unfortunate to have battled with various health issues for much of my adult life.

After much persistent pressure from family and close friends telling me that I should 'sell my work', I've finally succumbed and decided to give it a go and share my work online.
